From OXIDwiki
The following languages are presently supported by OXID eSales AG and will be delivered with each standard copy of OXID eShop in any edition:
- German
- English
Any other translations can be contributed, maintained and downloaded by community members for free use under GPLv3 license.
On http://translate.oxidforge.org/ you will find a system for language maintenance on the basis of oTranCe, the Online Translation Center.

Help translating
If you can help translating and/or maintaining the languages, please turn to and let us know which language you can provide and which user name (it appears in the doc-head of your translated language files) do you prefer. The system administrator will give you an account and informs you when you can start translating.
If you have already files translated into your language, please send them along with your request to . They can easily be imported into the system.
Later, it shall be possible to register at oTranCe.

Installation of a New Languages in OXID eShop
- Download the language packages from oTranCe.
- Extract them and upload them to the according pathes of your shop installation.
- Go to the amdin panel of your OXID eShop installation -> Master settings -> Languages. Add a new language and enter the abbreviation according to the one you found in oTranCe.
- In admin panel, go to Service -> Tools and push the "Update views" button.
- Clear the /tmp/ folder in your installation and refresh your page.
- You are done :-)
