Introduction of Themes

Oxid eshop 4-5-0 beta themes in admin.jpg
Additionally to the basic theme you already used in former versions, we introduced a new template set (theme) called 'azure'. You can now switch between this themes from the admin panel. It is possible to adapt an existing theme by inheriting it to a new one or you can create a new theme from scratch.

Learn more in the Wiki page about themes.

Theme and Module Specific Configuration

Theme and module specific configurations can now being stored in the database. Learn more in the release notes.

Unlimited Multi-lingual Shops

Due to limitations of MySQL database tables, the number of languages for multi-lingual shops has been limited in former versions. By changing the database architecture, weimplemented a high-performance solution for this issue.

Beta Version

For the first time, we have released beta versions prior to a stable release and it worked out really well. Thanks to all the beta users and testers who helped us finding bugs and making the final release better! Thanks also to Shoplupe and Trusted Shops to help us with usability and legal aspects. During the beta phase we informed the beta users about the latest developments in a newsletter for beta testers.
